I loved Deadly Beginnings, it was wonderful to finally read the love story of Jock and Katie.

Since previous books in the series were about each of their sons, you got introduced to them over and over and saw how they love each other and their family. It was nice to finally see them from the beginning.

As with the other books in the series, Jaycee Clark did not write a simple sweet love story. Deadly Beginnings was full of the same hot romance, sweet moments, and suspense I've come to love about the Kinncaids. Nothing ever comes easy for them, but they fight harder to anyone for those that matter to them.

Jock and Katie's story is much the same as their son's. A sometimes sweet, often hot, always suspenseful, wild ride leading up to a wonderful future.

I'm so glad that Jaycee Clark finally shared the story of the Patriarch and Matriarch of the Kinncaid bunch.

wow, great book. the ending to one of my favorite book series. the Kinncaid family is an awesome family and true to right was cursed with lots of danger before they wed but then lots of love, faith and dedication Now I have to re-read the series again just so I can feel the love. buy the books, I guarantee it will become one of your favorites too.
I love the Kincaid brothers and to read the story of their parents was great. They had their own love story. We see how they also had to struggle to be together makes what we learn of their relationship and the love we see in the other stories more meaningful, deeper. Just like the other books in thi series I highly recommend this book.
I love this series. It is by far one of the best I have read.
These books are well written with just enough drama to spice them up. The characters are down to earth and fresh. Jaycee Clark created the perfect family filled with enough diversity to keep it real. I am really glad I got to see how it all began with Jock and Kaitie Lass.
I would recommend these books to anyone who asks as well as those who don't. These will definitely be placed in the Will Read Again category of my books
Deadly Beginnings is the perfect ending to Jaycee Clark's Deadly series. I have read and thoroughly enjoyed the other five books in the series. Deadly Beginnings is where it all began, with Jock Kinncaid, the patriarch of the Kinncaid family and Kaitlyn O'Reilly the girl who stole his heart. This is the story of how Jock and Kaitlyn met, fell in love and had their wonderful family. As with the other books in this romantic suspense series, there was suspense in this one as well. I loved this story, it made me laugh, it kept me on the edge of my seat and it made me cry. I truly hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
It was great reading about the beginning of a family "dynasty." I enjoyed getting to know Jock and Katie as they discovered each other. I felt that the author kept true to the period (1960's) and treated the obstacles in Katie's life realistically.

The writing was smooth, the characters felt natural, and the dialogue was authentic. The pacing was also good; it kept me on my toes. I have to admit I didn't anticipate the turning point at Katie's apartment.

I just purchased book one of the series. I hope my experience with this book will be as enjoyable.
If you like family saga's, "Deadly Beginnings" is a wonderful story of a "bright and shining" love. The characters, Jock and Katherine, are interesting and well-described; the dialogue is crisp. Katherine has a stalker, though, and this is 1969 when women are still expected to fill a certain role and not really be different. Her stalker and ex-fiancé is a sociopathic surgeon, who doesn't take "no" for an answer. The suspense of not knowing what will happen to Katherine next makes for an exciting read. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of this series!
Ahhhh Jock and Katie lass.... I loved reading their story!! I stumbled upon this series after it seemed to be wrapped up and had no idea this prequel/conclusion was even a possibility. I'm SO glad it happened! On it's own this book could absolutely stand alone but as a part of the whole, it truly shines. If a series is your thing I would highly recommend reading them in the order they were written.... I think some of the appreciation for this particular book could be lost if not read last. I don't say that as a negative but rather a gentle urge to try them all. The series is one of my favorites and I come back to them again and again. The writing is just right for me and I love the banter between all of the characters.
