First tim I have read a book by Lecia Cornwall. I really enjoyed this book and will certainly look for this Author again
I stayed up until 3 in the morning to finish it. To those who gave the poor reviews...what's wrong with you?
Good suspense and character development. Enjoyed the war stories and the good and bad war followers. Will look for other books by Lecia Cornwall
like the fact that the heroine stays true, the hero is willing to admit his inaccurate perception of del pine, and how the story develops. once again, leica cornwall has hit the right notes )
This is a well written book from beginning to end.
A very good show of a man's Honor and of a women's
good heart to care so much for the soldiers who needed
her help after a battle of war. They both knew of true
truth and a great love. I commend Lecia Cornwall on her
Very interesting story.
What a wonderful story and so painfully true detailing what happens to men in war. The h was a wonderful character who knew the man she wanted and was willing to give all she had to give that love and care to the wounded H. I loved reading about the beginnings and the evolution of the love story between the h and H. Well done and a very satisfying read.
I really, really loved this story about Stephen and Delphine. Delphine was a courageous soul for the time she lived in, not caring what her parents wanted for her and going after what she wanted for herself in her work and men…no matter the cost. It was hard for Stephen to understand and believe in such courage because he knew what the cost might be in society’s eyes. So, despite his love for Delphine, Stephen kept trying to push her away and the push/pull of their courtship made my heart hurt in exasperation and impatience. The mystery to be solved about Stephen’s record during the Napoleonic war was woven throughout their story masterfully by the author, and the suspense kept me flicking the pages more rapidly every chapter…until the end. This romance has convinced me to read all that Lecia has written and will write as I love her style!
